Have you ever been to a wedding where they thought of everything? A party so smoothly coordinated that it almost feels spontaneous, like magic in the making?
This was Brennen & Nate’s wedding.
It was not magic, no, it was hiring all the best professionals I’ve ever seen working in unison like some perfectly harmonized orchestra, and being behind the scenes to see everything as it came together was almost as fun and fascinating as being at the party in full swing!
I have to give a shout-out to Helene Popowski of Helene and Company, the wedding planner. Most people don’t realize what a MASSIVE production a wedding can be, and how the wedding planner really is a general to the army of vendors/movers/guests/etc. Helene was the Winston Churchill to our troops, and everything was smooth sailing! She is amazing!
Meet Brennen & Nate, the lucky couple of this dream wedding. Aren’t they sweet?
This is the gorgeous set-up of their reception AND ceremony space at the St. Regis Buckhead Hotel in Atlanta Ga. The whole room had to be flipped during cocktail hour, which was insanity to coordinate, and y’all. Y’all. Not a single thing went wrong. Unbelievable! I mean look at this perfection:
I was there to capture the first dance on a 16×20 inch canvas in acrylic paint. I usually get plenty of time to prep and paint before the guests arrive, but since the room had to be flipped during cocktail hour, I didn’t even start putting paint down until dinner started- it was the shortest time I’ve ever had to complete a painting, yet somehow that adrenaline-fueled fact made me work better, I think. I got a great painting out of it- even some thicker impasto painting technique. I’ll let the pics speak for themselves, starting with Brennen and Nate’s adorable first dance:
Guests really loved the painting. I had a crowd around it the whole night, as soon as it was complete- made me feel amazing! Just for fun, I have to show y’all some of the dancing at this reception- the band was literally the BEST wedding band I have ever seen! They were like a Beyonce concert meets a rock show, I’m serious. If you’re wanting a band, you have to check out Party on the Moon. I’d hire them over some concerts I’ve seen of my favorite bands, they were that good. Look at the crowd:
All in all, such a fantastic night 🙂 Thank you to Reichman Photography for most of these photos (some are taken by me). It was glorious, I hope I get to work with all these vendors again! I had a blast!
