This past Friday, I finally got the chance to work on a wedding with my extremely talented mom, who casts a very long shadow with her photographer skills. The wedding was taking place in none other than The Knot approved Payne Corley House. Check out my setup, y’all. Fanciness:
My station had a perfect view of the dance floor. I managed to knock out the painting of the surroundings in a couple of hours, so I could really focus on Phil and Keshia, the lovely bride and groom, once they arrived and started their first dance. (All the next photos are taken by Cindy Harter Photography, whom you should check out, fyi. Click the photos to see them in large format.)
Within four hours, I was finished, and really proud of my work. This particular wedding had an insanely fun crowd, and the energy on the dance floor helped me knock out this piece in under four hours! So many wonderful people came up with drinks in hand and talked to me. It really made me proud to do what I do, and become part of the entertainment for the wedding. I love knowing that not only am I making something for the bride and groom that they can keep as an heirloom, I’m also adding to the festivities! Here’s the completed work!
Just a great night, a fun crowd, and a beautiful couple. So proud to be a part of it all!
